Dear friends, my name is Hugues and I’m a Leatherman.
That means for me, not only to feel at my best when I wear leather, but also to appear as a member of a community who has rites, traditions and values.
I’m a gay activist. I was committed in the organisations that developed since the end of the eighties the project legalising the union of same sex couples in France.
I’m an aids activist. I was member of the first group who created Act Up Paris in 1989 and am still member of the organisation. I work today as the prevention coordinator for Act Up Paris.
I’ve been chosen to be Mr Leather France 2013 on the 8th of June. My commitment with this title is to enhance the visibility of the leather community and also to make it known and recognized with all its culture and its values. It is also to transmit the flame to the younger members of the community.
I’m looking forward to meeting you all in Padova, to share the spirit of the Leathermen’s friendship, by giving all my best in the Mr Leather Europe contest.
