Mister Leather Italia 2023

Mi chiamo Alessandro ma ormai tutti mi conoscono come Damino (in un anno ho perso una zeta ma in compenso mi sono fatt… ehm ho conservato tutte le altre lettere dell’alfabeto).

Irriducibile ritardatario, irriverente, sempre un po’ fuori posto, testardo, mi ripresento dopo un anno passato a conoscere un po’ di più di questo mondo a cui sento di appartenere da sempre.

Assiduo frequentatore della doccia della mia palestra, dove non si contano gli innumerevoli selfie scattati, a volte mi alleno pure, per presentarmi fintamente pompato nel mio gear rigorosamente taglia S.

Qualunque sia l’esito di questa gara continuerò a (s)battermi per movimentare la scena leather portando un po’ delle mie esperienze in giro per l’Italia e l’Europa nella mia meravigliosa terra e un po’ della mia terra agli eventi d’oltremare a cui parteciperò in futuro.

My name is Alessandro, but now everyone knows me as Damino (in a year, I lost a "z" but, in exchange, I kept all the other letters of the alphabet). I am an irreducible latecomer, irreverent, always a bit out of place, and stubborn. I'm reintroducing myself after spending a year learning more about this world to which I've always felt I belong.

I am a frequent visitor to the showers at my gym, where countless selfies are taken. Sometimes I even work out to appear falsely pumped up in my rigorously size S gear. Whatever the outcome of this competition, I will continue to fight to liven up the leather scene, bringing some of my experiences around Italy and Europe to my wonderful country and a bit of my country to the overseas events I will attend in the future.

Mi chiamo Stefano, ho 41 anni, vivo a Roma. Fin dall’adolescenza ho provato un interesse particolare per divise, stivali, anfibi e oggetti in cuoio. Crescendo ho cercato dei percorsi per approfondire questa mia indole, per definire la mia identità e trovare una mia dimensione. Non è stato semplice ma ho scoperto che non si trattava di una semplice questione estetica. Per me oggi il leather ha un significato culturale, storico, comunitario, erotico, è legato a rapporti di amicizia, ai viaggi e soprattutto è qualcosa che mi fa stare bene.

Se ottenessi il titolo di Mister Leather Italia mi piacerebbe porre l’attenzione su alcune cose a cui tengo, come la necessità di creare un dialogo costruttivo tra generazioni e di una maggior apertura verso le persone che non hanno facilità ad accedere a questa comunità, pur cercando di mantenere stabile l’identità di ciò che siamo e di quello che rappresenta il nostro gear.

My name is Stefano, I'm 41 years old, I live in Rome. Uniforms, boots, and leather gear attracted me since I was young. I looked for a while for my own path in defining my identity and It wasn't easy at all, in the end I found out that it wasn't just an aesthetic taste. Today leather has a cultural, historical, community and erotic value for me, it also means friendship, travels and above all it is something that makes me feel good.

If I were awarded the title of Mister Leather Italia I would like to draw attention to some things I care about, such as the need to create a constructive dialogue between generations and greater openness towards people who do not have easy access to this community, even trying to maintain the identity of who we are and what our gear represents.

73 anni, già questo dato dice molto sulla mia audacia nel concorrere. Sono nato a Stanghella (Pd), cresciuto a Solesino e residente a Rovigo dal 1988. Sposato dal 1988, lo sono ancora, nonostante molte difficoltà. Da alcuni anni ho realizzato la mia omo-bisessualità e frequento un compagno da 5 anni.

Ho vissuto molto nel sociale e per il sociale. Sono un medico in pensione ma ancora operativo per la scarsità di personale, attualmente in due Case di Riposo. Ho conseguito la Laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia a Padova, il Diploma di Liceo Classico ad Este e le Medie a Monselice e le Elementari a Solesino.

Ho iniziato ad interessarmi al mondo Leather e al vestire da 5 anni, espandendo un'idea interiore che per pigrizia e impegni extra non avevo mai concretizzato. Piano piano mi sono sempre più entusiasmato; ho anche pubblicato un profilo su Instagram, attraverso il quale coltivo molte amicizie, ma non sono attivamente inserito in nessun gruppo Social-Leather. Forse questa potrebbe essere l'occasione per allargare le mie amicizie.

Non ho l'ambizione di primeggiare, ma solo lo stimolo per sfidare me stesso verso una nuova esperienza di confronto col prossimo, che sicuramente arricchirà il mio percorso di vita, che ritengo sempre portatore di progressi e di miglioramenti.

73 years old, just this fact speaks volumes about my audacity in running for [something]. Born in Stanghella (Pd), raised in Solesino, and resident in Rovigo since 1988. Married since that year, I still am, despite many ups and downs. For a few years now, I've come to terms with my homosexuality and bisexuality and have been with a partner for five years.

I've lived a lot in and for the social realm. I'm a retired doctor, but still working due to a lack of personnel, currently in two nursing homes. I have a degree in Medicine and Surgery from Padua, a Diploma in Classical Studies from Este, and primary and middle school education in Monselice and Solesino.

I started to become interested in the Leather world and attire five years ago, expanding an inner idea that I had never realized due to laziness and extra commitments. Slowly but surely, I've become more enthusiastic; I've even created an Instagram profile through which I cultivate many friendships, but I'm not actively involved in any Social-Leather groups. Perhaps this could be an opportunity to expand my circle of friends.

I have no ambition to stand out, but rather the motivation to challenge myself toward a new experience of interacting with others, which will undoubtedly enrich my life journey, which I always consider a harbinger of progress and improvement.
