Mr. Rubber Italia 2022 – Candidates

Roberto - Candidate #1

I am Roberto, I am 33 years old, I was born near Milan and I always have lived there.

For many years in the fetish world, in the past I have also been Mister Sneaker Italy (2013, single edition) and for about 2 years I have begun to approach the Rubber world.

Immediatly, since the first moment I have worn Rubber clothes, I have fallen in love with them.

I attended some fetish parties but, due to Covid, unfortunately there have been only few events (Hotdog LFI and Bangalov LFM in Italy and FolsomEurope in Berlin).

I have started to expand my latex wardrobe and I am waiting to some clothes to arrive (unfortunately manufacturing and delivery times are very long….) and others are in project.

I live the fetish world parallel to my private life, without hiding my passions, which are a source of pride. I am myself in Rubber,Sportswear or in classic clothes (I work in a bank…). I have a single profile on social media (Instragram,Facebook), where I mix all my activities and passions, both the classic and the fetish ones, always showing this last part with emphasis, without hiding it but rather making it a source of pride.

I combine my fetish passion to my travel passion. I love to meet new people and discover new places. I speak English and French very weel as I practice them very often during my trips and through social media.
I travel abroad very often, I try to do at least 1 weekend at a month abroad as well as longer periods in the spring-summer seasons. All my trips are related to have fun in the fetish environment. My favorite destination is Berlin.

Valerio Lefta - Candidate #2

I'm Valerio, white male, cisgender, gay, middle class, kinky, gaymer, polyamorous, 39 years old from Florence. A long list of names that can't entirely describe someone. We are more than that, we are a lot of things often in contradiction with each other. It doesn't take much to be insulted, get rejected and feel ashamed if one of those names even barely refers to your sexuality.

We create safe places to express ourselves but we all know how outside of those places things are very different and how a society made of narrow-minded people look at us as "weirdos or deviants". How many times did you wear clothes over your rubber to go to a rubber event feeling out of place and observed?
After the second Lockdown I've decided to stop censoring myself and this is one of the reasons why I decided to run for Mr Rubber Italy.
I want a shield and a sword to show around my poly family, my passion for rubber and to tell about my kinks if I want to, without fear, without the need of a private social profile (luckily there's the option of private social profiles).

On my Instagram profile I try to deliver contents for the LGBTQIA+ community and, soon, for the rubber and kinky scene. We have to come out of the shadows and show our face to make sure that the life of who comes next will be a bit easier than ours. To who can't or don't want to do that I say: "That's ok too.".

Pan - Candidate #3

Pan, 33, I live between Pesaro, the city where I was born, and Milan, the city that formed me and where I recently reopened my photographic studio. I am a visual artist with a theatrical and cinematographic background and for over ten years I have been collaborating with international galleries and festivals.

A fundamental part of my artistic, professional and life path is the_dark_side_of_Pan, a photographic project with which I investigate the infinite and changing constellation of kinks and fetishes that surround us, trying to tell them with images capable of transmitting their enormous beauty and complexity. I think that Kinks, as well as art, express the highest essence of the human being, because they are capable of elevating us beyond the functionality of surviving and expanding our senses, our desires and our awareness towards something higher and capable of giving a further meaning to our lives.

Over the years this project has allowed me to collaborate with important realities in the fetish world, such as Recon Issue and Drummer Magazine, and in recent times my "Kinky" works have crossed the invisible border that separates them from the "everyday" world and landed in exhibitions and magazines far from dealing with topics of this kind, generating great curiosity and charm. I have always lived my fetishes and kinks with enthusiasm and naturalness, telling them through images and words. I understood how essential it is to talk about them in first person by offering a direct testimony that removes them from the scandalous narrative to which they are often relegated. This is why I decided to no longer just stay behind the lens of my camera, but to put myself out there to offer direct testimony of a fantastic world, which speaks of responsibility, complicity, trust, awareness and freedom.
